10" standard Alkaline Ceramic Filter

The Alkaline filter changes the acidic RO water into a perfect Natural Alkali Calcium Ionized Water. The Aquasmart® Alkaline filter simply gives back minerals such as ionized calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium ion, which were taken away while purifying the water. The Aquasmart® Alkaline filter is effective and affordable.

We believe Aquasmart® Ceramic Alkaline filters to be a better choice than water ionizers. Alkaline water created by a water ionizer is relatively acid free and depending upon the alkaline mineral content of the tap water and the setting of the ionizer, the pH value of the alkaline water can range from 8.5 to 10.5 The main alkaline minerals of tap water are calcium and a small amount of magnesium. However there are three disadvantages to a water ionizer. First, the very high price. Second is the waiting period of one minute before drinking. The last but not the least disadvantage is the alkalinity won't remain at the same high pH value. It gradually goes back to the pH same as the tap water.

Item #1011 - Stage 1
10" 5 micron sediment filter. This filter is to be replaced every 3-4 months.

Item #1012 - Stage 2
10" 56 cu-in of GAC filter.  This filter is to be replaced every 6 months.

Item #1013 - Stage 3
5 micron carbon block filter. This filter is to be replaced every 6 months.

Centaur Carbon removes both chloramine and hydrogen sulphide from potable water. Centaur is outstanding in VOC removal, taste and odours control and in operating efficiency when compared with traditional activated carbon. 

Centaur is a virgin activated carbon that does not rely on metal impregnated to provide catalytic activity.  The Adsorptive pore structure is similar to conventional activated carbon product, however, Centaur is manufactured by a patented process that results in modifying the electronic properties.

Both filter sizes should be replaced every 4-6 months or as needed.

Whole House Iron/Hydrogen Sulfide Reduction Filter

If your home’s water supply has high iron, manganese or hydrogen sulphide contents, you should consider the addition of a whole house iron/hydrogen sulphide reduction filter to your water treatment system. 

This filter contains manganese greensand which reduced these contaminants through an oxidation/ filtration process, thereby substantially improving water clarity, taste and odours, while at the same time protecting your plumbing system including toilets, baths, tubs, shower and appliances such as clothes washer and dishwashers from unsightly staining. It adds no harmful chemicals to water, making it completely safe for drinking water applications. 

Iron and Manganese reduction will also prolong the life of a reverse osmosis membrane or any other purification systems. This filter should be installed right after the pressure tank, on your cold water line. For best results pre-sediment filter and post filter is recommended. 

When the water flow from your faucet or shower in the house gets reduced, check which filter needs to be replaced by running the empty housing, before changing over. Your savings per year will be substantial. The life of the filter depends on the contamination level and the amount of water consumed on a daily basis.
